Electronics Hardware Design
To design, develop and support electronic hardware for the company’s products.
To optimise designs for manufacturability, minimum production costs and high production yields.
To ensure that products are reliable in operation.
To produce required Production documentation in-line with current company procedures.
To ensure that the hardware meets regulatory requirements including EMC.
Embedded Operating Systems and Software
To design and develop embedded operating systems for the company’s products.
To design and develop software for products running embedded operating systems.
To produce design documentation so that software can be supported in the future.
Embedded firmware design and coding
To design, code and develop embedded firmware for the company’s products.
To ensure that firmware meets the needs of end products and customers.
To investigate and implement new techniques, algorithms and models to improve firmware performance.
To produce design documentation so that firmware can be supported in the future.
Key Skills: (it is not expected that the candidate has all these skills to start with but will need to acquire them)
Electronic Design (Analogue, Digital and RF).
Embedded microprocessor Design.
System level Design, Instrumentation, Control Systems and Signal Processing.
Languages: - Visual Basic 6, C, C# .NET and assembler.
Operating systems: - Windows CE5 & CE6 and Windows Embedded XP & WES2009.
Uk & Foreign travel will occasionally be required to support the products both on-site and for exhibitions.
In general trips will only be for relatively short periods of time.
A UK driving licence is essential as is a UK or EU passport.
Commutable from South West London, A3 Gatwick, Reigate, Redhill, Sutton, Epsom Horley and Dorking. Aldershot, Godalming, Guildford, Farnham, Southwest Surrey.
